We are excited to open out theatre and concert season with An Evening of Opera, in collaboration with Opera Orlando, on Wednesday, September 23, beginning at 7:00 p.m. In addition to performing artists from Opera Orlando, this concert will feature high school vocalists Allie Sholtis, Sofia Marrero, Luisa Luo, Jayson Goldner, Rachel Jolley, and the Little Laker Voices. The Opera Orlando artists include soprano Samantha Barnes Daniel, tenor John Texeira, and mezzo-soprano Sarah Purser. This is a concert of arias, trios, and choruses by the composer/lyricist duo of Gilbert and Sullivan, who are renowned for their Operettas of the early late 19th century. We hope that you will join us in person for this wonderful program!

National Arts in Education Week
September 12 – 18, 2021

Dr. Austin is using this important Arts Advocacy week to talk to our WPS dancers about citizen responsibility in advocacy for the Arts and drawing awareness to the benefits of having Arts in Education programming. Today, Dr. Austin’s Dance Tech 3 class read the Congressional Resolution for establishing the 3rd week of September as National Arts in Education Week. It is a great lead-in to celebrating the blessing of our Fine Arts programs at Windermere Preparatory School! See how you too can be a part of this week’s activities by telling your own Arts Advocacy story on social media. Use the hashtag #BecauseofArtsEd

This Saturday is National Dance Day! NHSDA students can earn points for completing a dance challenge! Watch out, you may be included!!
